The Samsung Galaxy M51 is the foremost of the M series yet. These times, the device shines in every the departments and outperforms nearly every single phone currently available in the market using its insane battery life. The formula for the M series devices have already been pretty straight from Samsung: Massive battery and big display. With this formula, Samsung has enjoyed great success in the last year or two. With the most recent and costliest Galaxy M51, the business hopes to take it further.

One of the explanations why many Indians avoided the Samsung M series for long was as a result of the chipset. Samsung was bundling in-house Exynos chipset which frequently took a toll on performance or efficiency. These times, Samsung has addressed the problem with Snapdragon 730G chipset which improves the performance of these devices. And, as usual, the display is among the finest in class Super AMOLED panels with great colour reproduction and viewing.

The cameras are more reliable now with 64MP primary shooter accompanied by 12MP wide-angle lens and a number of 5MP macro and depth cameras won’t disappoint you. The 32MP selfie camera will there be for whatever you selfie lovers. Samsung’s OneUI skin is a lot more mature and user-friendly but Samsung has added a couple of pre-installed and some Samsung services which push notifications often.

And, lastly, the battery life has gone out of the world here. The Galaxy M51 can last for just two days easily despite having heavy use and for regular users, it could last even longer. Overall, that is a good package from Samsung and will finally take on famous brands OnePlus Nord, Realme X3 series, and Redmi K20 Pro.

Design

The M series from Samsung has always had an enormous body. The same pertains to the Galaxy M51 too. But, with this product, that is taken up to another level. Straight from the box, these devices feels heavy because of the mammoth battery these devices packs in, the Galaxy M51 weighs 213 grams. Also, the telephone is pretty thick at 9.5mm. It feels solid in the hand and the glasstic back offers better grip in fact it is much less slippery as other phones with glass back. The trunk of these devices is a fingerprint magnet and it could get scratched easily. To create it a whole lot worse, Samsung also misses from providing a complementary silicone case in the box.

Although these devices feels solid at hand, it really is still heavy and you will be difficult to use for longer duration for calls, streaming, as well as gaming. After using these devices for a couple days I acquired used to the weight of these devices. However, towards the end of the end, that is still a bulky device and we wouldn’t recommend this phone to anyone who’s not prepared to carry the heavy device all day long.

The Galaxy M51 packs in a mono bottom speaker, microphone, Type-C port, and because the device is pretty thick, Samsung in addition has added the 3.5mm headphone jack. Towards the proper, you get the energy button, which can be integrated with a fingerprint scanner and just above it, you get the quantity buttons. The fingerprint scanner is pretty simple to reach with an individual hand but you’ll find it hard to replicate the same for the quantity rockers. At the top, you get yourself a secondary microphone and on the left, you can access the SIM tray.

On leading, the Samsung Galaxy M51 offers a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O panel with a tall 20:9 aspect ratio. You get yourself a Full HD+ resolution. The display is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 3 for added protection. Samsung’s Super AMOLED Plus implementation is always found to become more efficient than others. The fingerprint scanner is embedded within the energy button which is situated on the proper side of these devices.

The display is pretty huge and tall on the M51; it feels as though heading back to the phablets era. Watching the web content is a joy on the telephone. Samsung has widevine L1 support to stream HD content on Amazon Prime and Netflix. The screen also gets bright enough to learn outdoors. There is support for HDR but, I possibly could only have the ability to watch videos on YouTube and wasn’t in a position to replicate the same on Netflix.

Since it’s an AMOLED panel, you get those deep blacks, high contrast and vivid colours. The white balance of the screen out from the box was a lttle bit warm for my liking and I finished up changing the color tone in the display setting slightly towards the cooler side. You get the choice to select between Vivid and Natural. The Natural modes seem to be to be on the warmer side of the spectrum and I’d advise you retain it in Vivid mode and take the white balance to the cooler side to get the very best experience. Addititionally there is an Always-on Display feature with a huge amount of themes from Samsung theme store.

The viewing angles were excellent with this one aswell. It gets just bright enough to learn under the sunlight aswell. I enjoyed watching shows and videos on the Galaxy M51, because of the good panel. With the nutrients put into the display, Samsung continues to be continuing to give you a 60Hz panel. A 90Hz refresh rate screen could have been great in this segment since we’ve started to start to see the trend coming at affordable prices aswell.

Performance

Among the drawbacks with the prior Samsung M series devices was the problem with performance. This is mainly because of the under-powered chipset that Samsung chosen from Qualcomm and also in-house Exynos SoCs. This time around, however, Samsung hit it from the park and added the Snapdragon 730G chipset in the centre of the G
